Gaerne's factory is located in the town of Maser at the foothills of the Italian Alps. Nearby hill towns, such as Asolo, made famous by poet Robert Browning, create a rich environment for all types of outdoor activities. Gaerne, founded by Mr. Gazzola in the 1970's, first made high-end hiking boots for the Alpinist crowd who flocked to the area to visit the beautiful Dolomite range of northern Italy.

Motorcycling and road riding brought increased demand for well-constructed, superbly-fitting footwear and the Gazzola family soon brought their attention-to-detail and quality craftsmanship to these sports.

Gaerne welcomes visitors and can even craft your own custom shoes should you decide to visit the beautiful Italian countryside for such an event.
